July-August 2008 Notes
The WJHS office will be closed after Friday, July 13, 2008. The office will reopen on Friday, July 11, 2008.
Registration for the 2008-2009 school year will be: Wednesday, July 23rd from Noon until 8:00 P.M. (WJHS Cafeteria) Thursday, July 24th from 8:00 A.M. until Noon (WJHS Cafeteria) Friday, July 25th from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 and 1:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. (WJHS School Office) This date is for Students new to District 41.
Tuesday, July 29: 7th Grade and New Student/Parent Orientation @ 6:30 P.M. (WJHS Cafeteria)
Monday, August 4: First day of school 8:13-10:13 Football sign-up
Tuesday, August 5: First full day of school 8:13-2:20

Friday, August 29: Half-Day Inservice - WJHS dismisses at 11:30
Some school Rules: All white slip and gold slip detentions must be served in the TEC room after school. If gold slip and white slip detentions are served some where else, they will not be counted as served.
Students are reminded that to use the office phone it is 50 cents. There are exceptions, like inclement weather, planned school activity cancelled.
Students entering school late must report to the Attendance Office (Room 105) to sign in. If a student must leave school early, due to an appointment or going home sick, he or she must also sign out in the Attendance Office. Students leaving school early for medical appointments should bring a note to the Attendance Office the morning of to receive a check-out slip. With a note from a parent or guardian a student may sign out during the day without a parent. Upon returning to school from a medical appointment, a student may check into the building with a medical slip without a parent. Students will not be dismissed from school per phone call. A parent must come into the building and sign the student out.
Absences - Parents should call 793-5915 extention 4010 to report an absence. Upon returning to school from an absence a student must bring a written note from a parent or guardian to the Attendance Office.
Tardy to School - Students are allowed 5 excused tardies during a school year. A tardy is excused by a written note from a parent or guardian. Students entering school late due to a medical appointment must have a medical excuse. A medical excuse does not count as a tardy.
Quiet studyhall rules - Students must report to studyhall by 2:30. Students will not be permitted in after 2:30 unless they have a pass from a teacher. Go to your locker, get a drink of water, and use the restroom before entering studyall. Once you enter studyhall there will be no passes written to leave. When you leave studyhall you are not allowed to return. DRINKS AND FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED. Failure to follow the rules will result in loss of studyhall privileges.
