September 26 - Congratulations are once again in order for the Lady Rocks Varsity and Sophomore Volleyball teams. Both teams beat Ottawa last night, 2 games to 1. In the Varsity match, Genesis Johnson had 9 kills and 3 kill blocks. Kayla Daugherty had 6 kills, Meagan Sheley had 5 kills, and Nora Johnson 2 kills. Amy Miers had 11 assists, while Ally Jo Burkhead had 9 assists, Emily West had 2 kill blocks, and Sarah Bebber had an ACE Serve. Perhaps the key player of the match, however, was Erika Wubben, who played a new position last night, and had 10 digs and 5 ACE serves. This moves the season record to 12 WINS and 5 Losses. Great job Lady Rock volleyballers, that was a great comeback victory!!!!
September 23 - Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team, as they defeated
Geneseo last night, two games to one. This moves their
season record to 11 wins and 5 losses. Genesis Johnson had another outstanding night, with 11 kills and 5
kills blocks. Kayla Daugherty led all servers with 5 ace serves.
Erika Wubben, Megan Sheley, and Nora Johnson all had 3 kills each.
Ally Jo Burkhead has 9 assists, while Amy Miers added 4 assists.
September 20 - Saturday's high school highlights - Alleman double dual
September 19 - The Volleyball Program would like to thank all the students, staff, and
fans that followed us to Alleman last night. Your spirit and support
was appreciated by the team, and helped us defeat Alleman 2 games to
none. Last night's victory move the Varsity volleyball record to 10-3
overall and 1-1 in the Conference. Genesis Johnson had 8 kills and 6
kill blocks. Kayla Daugherty also had an excellent match, with 6
kills, 2 kill blocks, 3 ace serves and 7 digs. Ally Jo Burkhead had 10
assists, and Amy Miers had 6 assists. Erika Wubben added 3 kills.
Sarah Bebber had 2 ace serves, and Stacey Crosby had 12 digs. The
sophomore volleyball team continued their winning ways with a 2 games
sweep of Alleman and moved their season record to 4 - 1. To finish the
sweep of Alleman, the freshman team also won 2 games to none. Their
season record now stands at 7 wins and only l loss. Way to Go Lady
rocks Volleyball players!

September 12 - Thursday's high school highlights - Rocky vs Moline
September 8 - Over the weekend, the Varsity Lady Rocks Volleyball Team competed in the Rock Falls invitational Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Rocks finished the day with wins over Hall, Sterling,
Newman, and Dixon. They lost their first match of the season to
Princeton, who went on to win the Championship of the tournament. This
moves the season record to 5 wins and 1 loss. GOOD JOB LADIES! The Lady Rocks open conference play this Thursday, Sept. 11th in the
Rocky Field House against Moline. Everyone come on out and cheer the
Lady Rocks to victory! Let's show Moline that we care about the ROCKS!
September 5 - The Lady Rocks Varsity Volleyball team continued their winning ways last night (Sept. 4th) by defeating Dixon, 2 games to 1. Genesis Johnson and Kayla Daugherty led the offense with 6 & 4
kills each. Ally Burkhead and Amy Miers led the team in assists.
Stacey Crosby and Sarah Bebber led the team in digs, and Ericka Wubben,
Emily West, and Nora Johnson all played well at their positions. Megan
Sheley had the game point, winning to finish off the Dixon Duchesses.
This moves the varsity record to 2 wins and 0 losses so far this
season. The freshman team also moved to 2 - 0 on the season last night
at Dixon. Way to go, Ladies!
