Abby is a Jr. at RIHS & an All-State Band member Al Nesseler, Rock Island Elks, Jeannie & Ladies Elks, Moline, VFW, Moline, Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary, Del Newton, Jim Stablein, Moline Friend Circle, Country Amusement, Miss Alberta   --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Al Nesseler and the Rock Island Elks made a generous donation of $900 for technology -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Al Huber and the members of the Vietnam Veterans have donated $1,500 to the SKIP Program. As per the request of the group each staff member and student was purchased a SKIP shirt to wear out for community events and activities. In addition, the staff was able to purchase several Ellison Machine Die Cut to use in the SKIP classrooms.  August 2007: Al Nesseler is a member of the VFW and an overall wonderful individual who collects aluminum cans for recycling, has made another cash donation to SKIP in the amount of $300 and a donation of reading books! Fundraisers: SKIP will be participating again in the Knights of Columbus Annual Tootsie Roll Drive Sept. 21st in Moline and Rock Island. Volunteers are still needed!  Please call Julie Ward at SKIP if you can assist. SKIP has completed selling Enjoy the City dining books.  The cost was $20.00 each and $10.00 of each sale will be used for classroom needs at SKIP.  In all the program sold 140 books and raised $1,400.00 for classroom items. Did you know???  During the annual United Way of the QC fundraiser you can designate SKIP as the recipient of the donation.  Simply mark "restricted gift"  area on the form.  Then list SKIP- Preschool Program, 4000 11th Street, Moline, IL 61265.  The disbursements are sent to the program in two payments after the fundraiser has ended. Yes- SKIP is a member of the TARGET credit cards "Take Charge of Education Fundraiser".  This is of no cost to the card holder. Simply call the 800 number on the back of your card.  Tell them you would like to designate SKIP Preschool in Moline, IL as your 1%  donation school.  Our Account number is #121063.
