Counselors

The Guidance Department is located in Room 226 on the second floor at Rock Island High School.  It houses four counselors and our Registrar, Mrs. Ricketts.  We have numerous college catalogs and videos for students' use, as well as two computers so that students may research educational topics.  There are also three meeting rooms available for a variety of purposes.

Debbie Ricketts (ext. 2010)
Mrs. Ricketts is the secretary in the Counseling Office in addition to being the Registrar at Rock Island High School.  She will be the one to contact should you need a transcript sent for you.

Jennifer Page: A - D (ext. 2017)
Ms. Page is in her eighth year as a counselor at Rock Island High School after serving as an English teacher here for nine years.  She is responsible for the PLAN and EXPLORE tests, Discovery Program, , AP testing, Esplin Scholarships, and Vocational Education. 

Farah Anderson: E - K (ext. 2015)
Mrs. Anderson is in her sixth year as a counselor at Rock Island High School.  She was previously a teacher at Rocky.  For two years she was employed at Washington Junior High School in Rock Island.  Among her duties, Mrs. Anderson will be working with Black Hawk College Dual Credit, Registration Information Night, and 8th grade visits.

Thom Sigel: L - ROC (ext. 2014)
Mr. Sigel is in his eighth year as a counselor at Rock Island High School.  He is in charge of registration, financial aid, the Senior Recognition Assembly, and ACT tests. 

Sterling Kingery: ROD - Z (ext. 2016)
Mr. Kingery begins his fifth year as a counselor at Rock Island High School, coming to us from Waterloo East High School.  He oversees scholarships, college visits, PSAT testing, AP Testing, and the SAT.
