About Mrs. Long
I
am Ginger Long. My family has lived in the Quad Cities for more than 15
years. Before that we lived in California and Washington where I worked
with children and adults with special learning needs. I have 2 sons,
Wes and Brad. We have lots of pets including Oscar Mayer Weiner Dog,
and my husband's collection of snakes, lizards, and frogs. On this site
you will find information about our classroom, including rules and
homework policies. We will also post some of our student work and
resources for teachers. I am currently Past-President of the Rock Island Area Computing Educators and President Elect of Illinois Computing Educators. These two groups are dedicated to enhancing student learning through technology use in education.
In my spare time, I volunteer with the Children's Therapy Center's Board of Directors, where I currently serve as Board President. CTC works with children who have various disabilities or injuries requiring speech, feeding, occupational, sensory integration or physical therapies. I am proud to be able to support and help such a worthwhile organization.
