September 30 - The Boys' Golf Team finished 4th in the Big 6 Golf Conference Golf Tournament yesterday.  The Rocks outscored U T and Alleman but finished behind 3rd place Galesberg, 2nd place Moline and champion Quincy.  Senior captain Ethan Gordon's score of 80 led the Rocks. Gordon tied for 7th low individual score.  He was supported by Brinn Bell 83, Aaron Wilson 85, Devin Goebel 88, Zach Carlson 88, and Christian Cottingham 91.  The Rocks travel to Moline today for a triangular with Alleman and Moline. 

September 29 - The boys' golf team finished 12th in the 23 team Sterling Invitational Saturday.  Brinn Bell led the scoring with a 77.  Brinn's score tied for 18th place individually.  Other scores were Christian Cottingham 80, Devin Goebel 83, Aaron Wilson 85, Ethan Gordon and Zach Carlson 88's.  The Rocks are competing in the big 6 Conference Meet today at Golfmore Golf Course.

September 26 - The Boys' Golf Team scored a 17 stroke victory over Alleman yesterday at Highland Springs Golf Course.  Brinn Bell led the Rocks with a one under par 35 which tied for medalist honors for the match.  Devin Goebel carded a 37, Christian Cottingham a 38,   Ethan Gordon and Aaron Wilson 39≠s and Zach Carlson a 41.  The Rocks are now 5 and 5 in dual matches.  The Rocks play in the Sterling Invitational Saturday, and compete in the Big 6 Conference meet on Monday.  Great Job Team!!!!

September 24 - The Boys' Golf Team lost its dual match with Moline at Highland Springs Golf Course yesterday by 7 strokes.  Ethan Gordon led the Rocks with a 2 over par 38.  The Rocks are now 4 and 5 in dual matches.  The J V team also lost their match. Cameron Ruiz led the J V with a 47.

September 23 -
The Boys' Golf Team finished 15th in the 24 team Pekin Invitational Saturday, Sept. 20th. Christian Cottingham and Devin Goelel led the Rocks scoring with 83 and 84 respectively, and finished 50th and 51st individually.  They were supported by Ethan Gordon 87, Aaron Wilson 88, Zach Carlson 89, and Brinn Bell 96. 

September 19 -
The Boys' Golf Team J V squad lost a close match to Orion's varsity golfers by 6 strokes yesterday at Highland Springs Golf Course.  Bill Mosenfelder led the 1st J V team with a 42.  The second J V squad beat the Orion J V team by 19 strokes.  Alex Pearson and Sam Burkhead led the 2nd J V squad with 48s.

September 19 - Tuesday's high school highlights - Rocky vs Galesburg

September 17 - The Boys' Golf Team lost to Galesburg yesterday at Soangetaha Country Club.  Brinn Bell was low score for the Rocks with a 3 over par 40.  The Rocks are now 4 and 4 in dual matches.  The J V also lost their match and are now 6 and 3 in dual matches.  Zach Burkhead was low score for the J V squad.  The Rocks play next in the Pekin Invitational Saturday.

September 16 - The Boys' Golf Team lost a close 4 stroke match to Pleasant Valley yesterday at Palmer Hills Golf Course. Christian Cottingham led the Rocks with a 2 over par 38.  Zach Carlson followed closely with a 39. The Rocks are now 4 and 3 in dual matches.  The J V led by Reece Argo's 45 lost their 2nd match in 7 duals.  The Rocks travel to Galesburg this afternoon for a dual match.

September 12 - Thursday's high school highlights - Rocky vs UTHS


September 11 - The Boys' Golf Team beat Geneseo and lost to Moline in a triangular hosted by Moline Tuesday.  The Rocks are now 3 -2 in dual matches.  Ethan Gordon led the Rocks with a 42 at the par 36 Short Hills Course.  The J V team also lost to Moline and beat Geneseo.  Their record is now 5 -1.  The Rocks host U T at Highland Springs Golf Course September 11th.

September 8 - Boys 2008 golf preview

September 3 - Scoreboard - Rocky vs UTHS -The Boys' Golf Team won their second dual match September 2nd.  They defeated U T H S by 21 strokes at Highland Springs Golf course.  Aaron Wilson led the Rocks scoring and was medalist for the match with a 2 over par 38.  Devin Goebel added a 40. The Rocks are now 2 and 1 in dual matches.  The junior varsity won their 4th straight match.  They finished 25 strokes ahead of the Panthers.  Christian Cottingham led the Rocks with a 41.

September 2 - The Boys' golf Team posted their best tournament score in the past 6 years at the Geneseo Invitational Saturday, August 30th.  The Rocks had four scores in the 70's.  Devin Goebel 77, Ethan Gordon 78, Zach Carlson 78, and Aaron Wilson 78 for a team score of 311.  Other scores were Cameron Ruiz 89 and Zach Burkhead 94.  The Rocks finished in 8th place in the 21 team invitational. This was also their top finish in the Geneseo Invite in the past 6 years.

August 29 - The Boys' Golf Team evened its dual match record August 28th losing to Sterling at their home course, Emerald Hills, 169 to 172.  The Rocks varsity was led by Devin Goebel's 41.  Ethan Gordon added a 42. The junior varsity won their 3rd straight match by 18 strokes.  Tyler Pearson's 43 was the medalist score for the j v match.

August 27 - The Boys' golf Team defeated Geneseo August 26th in their first dual match of the season.  The four stroke victory was led by junior Aaron Wilson with a 2 over par 38 at Highland Springs Golf Course. Devin Goebel and Christian Cottingham added 40's.  The junior varsity team picked up their second victory of the year with a 9 stroke win.  Cameron Ruiz led the JV team with a 40.
