Homework Contract
Name__________________________________ Week of October 20-24, 2008 Teacher: Mrs. Carmack Horace Mann students do at least thirty minutes of homework at least four days each week. Students are expected to complete it with parents providing supervision and, if needed, help. We hope you read something every day!
Monday Homework___________________Parent Signature Spelling: Practice your spelling word list using a method from the Spelling Menu. What practice method did you use? _______________________________ The strategies taught are: 1st grade word chunk -et, 2nd grade word chunk √ead as in head; i.e. short "e" vowel sound; high frequency words, & 8 theme words related to elections. Read: Read or have someone read to you. If participating, mark this book title on your Book-it Calendar.
Tuesday Homework____________________Parent Signature Math: Complete the enclosed math activity sheet. Younger children are making coin combinations to 10 cents; older to 28 cents. Take to school by Friday. Read: Read or have someone read to you. If participating, mark this book title on your Book-it Calendar.
